Tree Felling

Tree Dismantling/Felling

It is the process of cutting down a tree for a variety of reasons; if a tree becomes unsteady, develops disease inside it or poses obstruction to your property or personal welfare. This is the complete removal of a tree. It is necessary to do this to dead, dying or diseased trees to prevent damage or injuries. We are experts at large and dangerous tree removals. When a tree is deemed hazardous and there is no other solution, we will perform a clean and efficient surgical removal of any tree from your property Although tree removal is a last resort, there are circumstances when it is necessary. We can help decide whether or not a tree should be removed. Removal is recommended when:

  • The tree is dead or dying
  • The tree is considered irreparably hazardous
  • The tree is causing an obstruction that is impossible to correct through pruning
  • The tree is crowding and causing harm to other trees
  • The tree is to be replaced by a more suitable specimen
  • The tree should be removed to allow for new construction
  • The tree can be removed for aesthetic reasons

There are two main ways of removing a tree these are:

Straight Felling

Tree felling is a service in which we remove the tree trunk as a whole. Because of this, there must be a reasonably sized immediate area in which to fell the tree our tree surgeons are qualified and highly skilled at using this technique.

Section Felling

By dismantling the tree in sections, in most urban situations sectional felling is normally the only option, as hazards or obstacles are often within close proximity to the tree. The operation of sectional felling to remove trees can take more time than other work plans but offers much more precision and control. It is often the only way to achieve safe removal of a tree without high risk or damage to surrounding property. In this process the majority of the tree is lowered to the ground using rigging systems.
